My family will attend Hoop de Doo at 4 p.m. and is wondering if it's possible to reach the Contemporary afterwards in time for a Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise at 6:45 p.m. If the boat ferry is too slow, would our car do? Any parking suggestions?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cynthia!

I am guilty of attempting to cram as much magic as possible into my Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so I know exactly where you are coming from.  I'll be honest with you though -- in this case I think the timeline is a bit too tight to do both events on the same evening.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue will last 2 hours, so your dinner show would end at about 6:00 pm.  Check-in for the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage is at Disney's Contemporary Resort 10 minutes prior to the cruise so that would be 6:35.  If a boat is waiting at the Fort Wilderness dock when you leave the dinner show and has room for your party, you might make it just in time.  However, it is possible that you may need to wait 20-30 minutes for the next boat.  I do not recommend driving your car.  Guests headed to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue must park in the Outpost lot at the entrance to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and then take a bus to reach Pioneer Hall, so this option is not likely to save you any time.  Your best bet for expedited transportation would be Disney's Minnie Van service.  A Minnie Van would be able to pick you up right near Pioneer Hall and take you directly to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your cruise.  This option is still a bit risky, as there is no way of knowing in advance how quickly a Minnie Van might be available to pick you up.  If everything worked out perfectly you might make it, but in my opinion it would be too stressful.  If there is any delay, you would miss your cruise and forfeit your payment.  That would not be a very magical way to end your evening!  I recommend trying to schedule the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage a different night of your vacation so you can relax and fully enjoy both experiences.

I hope that helps!  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  Have a wonderful vacation!
