    Our family will be arriving at MK during EMH day in March. Is the opening show with characters and the rope drop, the same thing? Will the opening ceremony be held at 8 am for EMH or would we need to come back to entrance at 9?

    Hi Melissa!  Thanks for asking such a great question.  Magic Kingdom happens to be my favorite park, and I have been fortunate enough to watch the opening ceremony with my children every time we go!  Its such a special moment and i am so glad that you'll be able to experience it in March!  The opening ceremony is held at the entrance to Magic Kingdom, and the characters ride in on the train, along with a 'family of the day' who are selected to spread a little extra "pixie dust" to those visiting Magic Kingdom!



    During Early Magic Hours, the opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom is performed at the time the park opens early for guests who are staying at select Walt Disney World resorts.  At times, the ceremony is a condensed version of the show that is usually performed at the traditional park opening.  There is no second ceremony when the park opens to all guests.
