Hi Layshandria! Happy tenth anniversary! You must be so excited that your vacation is just a few days away! The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite resorts, and both Boma and Jiko are great restaurants, so you really can't go wrong with either of them.
Boma is a buffet with lots of tasty and unique foods. It's bright and can be noisy, and since you serve yourself from the buffet, the meal can move as slowly or as quickly as you desire.
Jiko, on the other hand, is a quieter, more romantic restaurant. The menu is full of delicious options, and the service is quite leisurely. In my experience you can expect to easily spend two hours or more dining at Jiko if you order several courses, and the meal will be more expensive than one at Boma. However, the food is exquisite -- the last meal I had at Jiko stands out as one of the best meals I've ever had at Disney. If you want a fine dining experience and a romantic meal to celebrate your anniversary, I'd choose Jiko. If you're concerned about your daughter sitting quietly for a leisurely meal after a long day of travel and would rather have a fun and quick family meal, choose Boma. Either way, you'll have great food!
I hope that you have a magical trip! Be sure to ask Guest Services at the resort for Anniversary and First Visit buttons so Disney can help you celebrate! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have any last minute questions before your trip!
