Hi there! My family will be arriving at Disney World on Mother's Day, two weeks from yesterday. We are staying at the Art of Animation resort. Does Disney ever do anything special for moms on Mother's Day?

Hi Jennifer! I'm sure you've heard the saying, "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" My family has spent many a Mother's Day at Walt Disney World because that makes me happy! Disney definitely makes sure moms feel special on this day to honor them. In years past, I've dined at special Mother's Day meals at Chef Mickey's and received a red carnation as I entered Animal Kingdom at rope drop.

Each year, several of the Disney restaurants, such as Chef Mickey's, host special meals on Mother's Day. The Garden Grove at the Swan is hosting a special brunch buffet, which includes a free Mimosa for the moms, and the Wolfgang Puck Cafe is offering a special three course meal in the dining room. We haven't received an announcement of the other restaurants' plans for 2013, but keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog which will probably provide more information soon.

Wishing you a magical Mother's Day! Come visit us again here at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
