Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Randall! It is our pleasure to assist you with
planning your practically perfect Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
I have great news! You should have the opportunity to introduce your granddaughter to everyone's favorite nanny! I checked her schedule for today, and discovered Mary Poppins will be greeting guests in a couple of locations:
At
Magic Kingdom Park, Mary Poppins can be found in the Liberty Square Gazebo near Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe intermittently from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
At
Epcot, Mary Poppins will be in World Showcase near the United Kingdom pavilion between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. (She is usually present for about 20 minutes beginning on the hour.)
Pick up a printed times guide for hours during the dates of your visit. A great way to find out character greeting times the day of your visit is to use the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Select the location icon on the bottom of the screen, which should bring up a map. At the top you will see a drop-down menu that defaults to "Wait Times" - change this to "Characters". When you select a Mickey silhouette icon on the map, the names of characters greeting at that location will pop up. When you select the character name, more information including specific appearance times will be available. Isn't that a fantastic feature? You can also use the "Filter" in the upper left corner of the map to select a specific Theme Park. Please keep in mind character greeting locations and times are subject to change.
Another place to find Mary Poppins is the
Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. This is a popular dining location, and reservations are highly recommended. If you are unsuccessful securing a reservation, keep checking back. Other guests' plans change all the time, and you never know what may become available.
If you plan to view
Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios, you may be able catch a glimpse of Mary Poppins there as well - she sometimes drops by during the finale when she's not too busy caring for the Banks children.
Randall, have a
delightful visit, and enjoy this precious time with your granddaughter!
