Family of 5. Ages 12, 6 and 3. Now that my daughter is 3 we can no longer stay at Caribbean Beach it seems since occupancy is 4. That is our favorite resort though because of the nice main pool and hammocks along beach. What would be a good option for us?

Hello Corey!  Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, is so beautiful, and the pool area is spectacular, so I can see why it has become a family favorite.   I am here to reassure you that you do have other great options for your family of five.   My youngest also recently turned 3 years-old, and my family is in the same boat s you, so let me share my favorite option for parties of five.

My absolute favorite and most economical way to have my family all stay together in one room is to book at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort.   Rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of this resort contain two queen beds, and a murphy style fold down bed that would be perfect for either your 6, or 3 year-old.  This resort offers a beautiful pool area inspired by the story of Tom Sawyer.  You will also find a catch-and-release fishing hole, surrey bike rentals, and a wonderful food court, and table service restaurant.  One of my favorite features of this resort is the water taxi service to Downtown Disney. How awesome it is to have another mode of transportation  rather than just the Disney buses.  My children love to take the boat ride, and often ask the captain if they can toot the horn!

I hope this has helped with your families vacation planning.   If you have other questions about your upcoming vacation, please let me or any of my pals know.
