Heigh-Ho Joan,
I am beyond excited for your family to experience Magic Kingdom, for the first time. As soon as you enter, the wonder of its magic is like no other. Take your time, allow yourself to feel the child-like amazement, and explore every nook and cranny. Each of you should pick one thing you would like to ride or watch or experience. Whether it’s riding the iconic Space Mountain in Tomorrowland, soaring high above Fantasyland on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, clapping along to the Country Bear Jamboree in Frontierland, floating along with a slap-stick skipper on The Jungle Cruise in Adventureland, or enjoying the always must-have Mickey ice-cream bar or DOLE whip, remember the magic because it will stay with you forever.
If you have not already done so, I highly recommend you make a
My Disney Experience profile and download the app, on your mobile device.
My Disney Experience is your vacation hub for Walt Disney World. Become comfortable with navigating through the app before you arrive. Here you can add your travel party and
assign your already purchased tickets, along with making and modifying your Disney Park Pass reservation. But that’s not all, the My Disney Experience app will allow you to see wait times within the parks, check on showtimes, view dining menus, make mobile dining orders in advance, make a dining reservation at a table service restaurant, allow you to play games while waiting in queues, along with much, much more. It’s your handy-dandy planner all at your fingertips.
While
MagicBands are very convenient, especially when visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort for multiple days, it is not necessary. Upon arrival to Magic Kingdom, make your way to the ticket counter, located to the right of the MagicBand/ticket entrance. Here a Cast Member can connect to your My Disney Experience profile and provide you with hard-ticket copies. If you do not make a My Disney Experience profile, no worries, just bring along your Walt Disney World ticket receipt.
Thank you, Joan, for allowing planDisney to help you, and may your first trip to Magic Kingdom be filled with many magical and memorable moments.
Amy M.
