    My family (4 Adults) are staying at a Disney resort at WDW in January 2018. Is there any shopping close by that we could buy snacks to take into the parks,to save a little? Also as overseas first (and probably only) timers any hints/tips welcome.

    I love that you are already planning your trip to Walt Disney World! January will be here soon!

    We often bring snacks and drinks into the parks. We also have breakfast in our room to save time and money. We will order from an online grocer like Garden Grocer and have the food delivered to our resort. You can schedule a time for delivery and you do not need to be there for delivery as they will deliver to your resort's bell services. You can even order milk and other non-perishables as bell services has refrigeration. Other options is to order on Amazon or Walmart and have your food delivered to your resort.

    As for other tips for first time visits, skip the Pass Hopper and spend the entire day in one park. This will help you find the hidden gems in each park. Stick to your family's schedule. If you are early risers, then head to the park early and do not stay all night every night. Decide ahead of time what you are going to do together and what you want to do separately. Make dinner reservations every night so you have a place to eat and connect.
