We’re a family of 4 adults looking to visit DW for the first time, possibly at Art of Animation or Saratoga Springs. Can you tell me if the Murphy beds are double or queen and if they are proper mattresses or thin sleeper type ones please?

Hi there, Elen! Welcome back to planDisney! We are so excited that you’ve taken the time to reach back out and ask another wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Personally, I feel as though choosing your Disney Resort hotel is one of the most important parts of planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! To me, this really sets the tone for your vacation! Both Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa feature accommodations that fit larger parties so they would be great options for your family. Do you want a leisurely stay with upscale amenities or do you want a whimsical adventure that’s bursting with larger-than-life fun? My family and I have stayed at both of these resorts and loved them for entirely different reasons. So, I understand how this choice can be a bit difficult!

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you will find both standard rooms and family suites. Family suites are the perfect option for larger parties that need to sleep up to six Guests. For sleeping accommodations, you will find a queen bed, a double-size pulldown bed, and a double-size sleeper sofa. All of these options feature a true mattress and are quite comfortable as a result!

With Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, you have even more selection for your room options! The room types range from Deluxe Studios all the way to 3 Bedroom Grand Villas. Once more, you will find that the bedding options all have true mattresses even if they are found in sleeper sofas.

I hope this information assists you in making your vacation decisions at Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can provide any other planning support!
