We are a family of 8, 2 adults, 6 kids. We are going to WDW August 19th, 2011. When does the Disney website update it's stuff for 2011. I cannot check extra magic hours or anything yet, that far in advanced. And I am so excited, I want to plan it all!!

    Hi Jolene,

Disney usually updates it site about four to six months ahead. For the summer, I would start checking in February or March. Often the 180 days for dining books ahead of the rest of the schedule, but I would make any advance dining restaurants to guests' favorites at this time. I would then adjust my schedule to accomodate Extra Magic Hours or shows such as Fantasmic!

When we plan our schedule, we like to mix long and short days. For example, EPCOT is a long day whereas Animal Kingdom is a short day. Also, Disney's Hollywood Studios has many shows to sit at so it is nice to go there after a long day walking around Magic Kingdom or EPCOT.

You also are a Grand Gathering of eight which provides you access to special events. Remember to use this option when making Advance Dining Reservations.

    Have a magical vacation!
