Hi! My family (3 adults, including my elderly mom and 2 kids) is planning to stay at a preferred room at CBR for the first time in Nov. Due to the size of CBR and my concern for the amount of walking my mom will have do, should we rent a car? Thanks!!

    Hi Schenley,

Welcome back to the Moms Panel.  There is no doubt that there is a lot of walking to be done at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Disney Bus Transportation, however, is a very convenient mode in which to travel, even for those with mobility issues.  I would recommend renting a car if you would like to drive to all of the theme parks and drop your Mom off at Guest Drop-Off at each of the parks.  This area is typically pretty close to the front gates of the parks and would lessen the amount of walking that your Mom would need to do.  Having the car would also be convenient for traveling around to the other areas of your resort.  If you decided against renting a car, your Mom would still easily get around using provided transportation.

Since you know your Mom's needs, only you can make that decision, but I hope this provides you with a bit more information to help you do that.

We'd love to see you again, so please come back and visit anytime.

    Be Magical,
