Hi! We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children wanting to stay at Port Orleans Riverside 5th sleeper in late April early May 2026. Will these rooms accommodate our family? Says it sleeps 4 to 5 adults.Do I have to call to book the room this way?

Hiya, Bryant! I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney with this fantastic question.

What a fantastic choice you've made by selecting Port Orleans Riverside for your stay! This resort is truly enchanting, offering a blend of Southern charm and picturesque surroundings that create an unforgettable atmosphere. From the scenic pathways to the array of wonderful amenities, there's so much to love about this delightful resort.

To answer your question, it really depends on the ages of your children. Most Disney Resorts can accommodate one child under the age of 3 in addition to the maximum room occupancy. For example, if your room has a maximum occupancy of 5 guests, you can add your littlest one under 3, allowing your party of 6 to stay in one room.

If your children are all over the age of 3, there are other great options available for your family. Disney's Art of Animation Resort offers family suites that can comfortably accommodate parties of up to six. These suites are beautifully themed and adored by both kids and kids at heart, making them a magical choice for your stay! Art of Animation also offers my favorite method of transportation, the Disney Skyliner.

If your heart is set on staying at Port Orleans Riverside, another option to consider is booking two standard rooms.

I hope this information is helpful, Bryant. And if you do decide to stay at Riverside, make sure you take a short stroll over to French Quarter to swing by Scat Cat's Club - Cafe to indulge in some scrumptious Mickey-shaped beignets! They're a must-try!

    Cheers!
