Hi my family of 4 adults would like to attend the Disneyland Hotel Thanksgiving Buffett! How do I get tickets and check availability?

Gawrsh, Brandon, I'm so glad you found us at planDisney! Your upcoming Disneyland Resort visit will be here in three shakes of a turkey leg, so let's talk about some strategies for booking a Thanksgiving feast for your family.

It sounds like you're hoping to snag a reservation at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel for your Thanksgiving meal, and that's a peach pie of an idea. The buffet there always has something for everyone, and how often do you get to dine with your favorite characters? I was a little star-struck when I met Chef Goofy on a visit last year!

Although no official announcements about Thanksgiving fare at Goofy's Kitchen have been made, your window to book dining is opening soon. You can hop on the Disneyland website or mobile app to make restaurant reservations 60 days before arrival. The exact time booking windows open can vary by restaurant, so my best tip is to try early and often. This will be a popular day for dining, so grab your favorite Mickey Mouse mug of coffee and set your alarm for that 60-day mark!

If you're lucky enough to book a meal for Thanksgiving Day, do a celebration dance and watch the website for special menu and pricing announcements. In years past, some traditional Thanksgiving dishes have been added to the Goofy's Kitchen buffet. This information might not drop until closer to the holiday, but even if the buffet sticks to its regular menu, you'll still have some delicious options. Roast turkey is often at the carving station, with mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and more. I think you'll have a cranBERRY good time!

Brandon, if you can't book a reservation, my tip is to keep checking. Guests change their plans, especially as dates get closer. Another suggestion is to book another meal that day as a backup. I'd recommend Carnation Cafe at Disneyland Park or Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. These restaurants have offered traditional holiday meals in the past, as well. And you can always stop by one of the famous Turkey Leg Carts! As long as you're together, your holiday will be magical.

Thanks again for stopping by, Brandon. I'm sprinkling pixie dust and pumpkin pie so your upcoming visit will be fabulous. Feel free to come back to planDisney anytime. We're so thankful for guests like you!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
