    My familiy and I are taking our first vacation ever and decided also take our first cruise.My 2 sons will be 10yrs & 14mo.As you could imagine, we are on a budget so i was wondering if there were going to be gifts for our kids while we are on the cruis

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I'm so glad you are here and that you have decided on an exciting Disney cruise for your family's first vacation!  The incredible Disney crewmembers will provide you with exceptional service, spacious accommodations, world-class entertainment, delicious food, and fun-filled activities during your voyage.  The one-of-a-kind memories you make cruising with Disney will last a lifetime!

    When my family cruises, we always have a budget for our onboard spending.  We prepare ahead of time by asking family members to give us Disney Gift Cards for birthday and holiday gifts. There are several gift shops onboard filled with Disney Cruise Line themed items as well as other Disney merchandise available for purchase.. The Gift Cards can't be used in the stores but can be turned in at Guest Services to be credited to your stateroom account.  I also love to bring items to be signed by the characters onboard.  You can give Guest Services items such as pillowcases or photo mats on embarkation day, and they will be signed and returned to you by the end of your cruise.  Don't forget to place them in a plastic bag with sharpies labeled with your name and stateroom number. You might also want to throw in a few pieces of candy for the characters signing.  These personalized items make wonderful souvenirs!
