We are 2 families travelling to WDW in October this year. One family does not speak english. Are there some translations devices they can use? Their mother tongue is french.

There are a number of services available for non-English-speaking guests.

First, all the Disney park maps are readily available at the park entrances in French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and Japanese. Many Disney cast members also speak multiple languages. These folks can be identified by a small flag pin affixed to their name tag. For example, a French-speaking cast member will have a French flag on their name tag.

There are also Disney Show Translators that are available for a free rental from the Guest Relations offices of each of the theme parks (a refundable deposit must be left for the device). These lightweight headsets provide alternate language audio for man Disney attractions.

Foreign language park assistance can be obtained via telephone by calling 407-824-7900. All WDW ticket sales locations have printed information in multiple languages, including French. Also, the Keys to the Kingdom and Family Magic tours can be conducted in French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese, and Italian. For more information on that you can call 407-WDW-TOUR.

There is a French language version of the Disney website that can be found HERE.

And finally, the France pavilion at Epcot is a great resource for any French speaking guest. All the cast members there will speak French and be able to offer advice in their native language.

    Hope this helps.
