    How do families get selected to ride the train that opens Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Pamela,

    My children so want to get chosen to open the Magic Kingdom and ride on the train with all the characters it looks so magical. I'm afraid though that the family are chosen at random. The only advise I can give is for you to arrive at the Magic Kingdom really early, at least an hour before it opens. It may help to talk to some Castmembers (Disney employees) maybe trade some pins or ask advise but most of all look like a very happy family on vacation.
