Hello, This will be my families first time going to Disney world, with that said I am wondering how to plan this vacation. As I have now noticed there is different parks and packages available. So my question is, where do I start? We are looking at 2024.

    Hi Mollie! Welcome to planDisney!

You've come to the right place when looking for help to plan your practically perfect vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you make magical memories as you and your family spend your first time at The Most Magical Place on Earth.  There is SO much to see and do at the Resort.  With four mind-blowing Theme Parks, two incredible Water Parks, and the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of Disney Springs, you probably won't have time to see it all, but that's just a good reason to book another trip in the future!

Since you already know what time of yEAR you're looking to visit, your next decision might be my absolute favorite - choosing your Disney Resorts Collection hotel! Take some time to browse the more than 25 incredible Resort options by looking through the Disney Resort Hotels Pocket Guides in the "Panel Extras" section of the planDisney website. You and your family can choose which theme speaks to you, whether you're looking to sail away on Polynesian breezes at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or stay in the rustic splendor of Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I'm sure you'll find the perfect Resort that appeals to your taste as well as your budget.

After choosing your Resort you'll be able to add on Theme Park Tickets to make a vacation package.  Just decide how many days you'd like to spend riding soon-to-be-favorite rides and attractions throughout the four Theme Parks.  With a Standard Theme Park Ticket, you and your family will be able to visit one Theme Park per day.  If you want to visit more than one Park per day, or add on the option to visit the Water Parks like Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, you'll want to add either the Park Hopper Option, Water Park & Sports Option, or the Park Hopper Plus Option to your Ticket.  More detailed descriptions of each of these options are available when you purchase your Theme Park Tickets.

While we here at planDisney LOVE to plan each and every moment of our trips, we understand that it can be overwhelming, especially for a first visit! If you would rather, you're always welcome to complete a quick internet search for an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner who can help you every step of the way.  This way you can sit back, relax and just enjoy being in the moment and soaking up every enchanted moment with your family.

Hope to see ya real soon, Mollie!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
