fam of 5 coming in june '12 . is it best to book at value then visit other hotels and pools or better to spend extra cash to stay at higher price to start thank value your thoughts

As a family of five, your resort options are somewhat limited. You can stay in a family suite at All-Star Music or the new Art of Animation Resort, in an Alligator Bayou room at Port Orleans Riverside, a cabin at Fort Wilderness, or in a deluxe resort.

That said, where you choose to stay should really be based on how much time you intend to spend at your resort. If you will be at the parks all day every day, then save some money and stay at a value. If you'd like to hang out at the resort, then you will likely feel your money is well-spent upgrading to a moderate or deluxe.

Wherever you choose to stay, you are always welcome to visit and explore the other resorts. You will not, however, be able to swim in the pools at resorts other than the one where you are staying. If a particular pool is of importance to you, then that might help you make your resort decision.

    Have a great trip!
