Fam of 4 (2ad 2kd 10&14). Traveling Dec2012 staying in YC, have free dining and have never used it before. We don't want to be tied down to reservations, kids don't want to do character breakfast. Can we use our TS credits at Counter Service eatery?

Hi, Travis! There is only one exchange that can be made on any of the Disney Dining Plans, and you have found it!  The only 'trading" that is allowed is that Guests may redeem one Table-service entitlement for one Quick-service meal.  The opposite is not true. Using a Table-service credit for a Quick-service meal is not the best financial choice because the Table-service credits are worth more, but it is a good option for those not wanting to be tied down to Advance Dining Reservations everyday.  Since you are eligible for a free Disney Dining Plan and don't have to pay anyway, then you are not losing any value.  Dining Plan entitlements don't covert any other way.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
