When do the fall decorations go up at disney. We will be there Oct2-8th and I'm a die hard fall/Halloween lover. Would hate to miss out on all the festives.

    Hi Meaghan,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You sound like someone I would get along with quite well. My favorite time of year is fall, and I absolutely love Halloweentime! Fall is also one of my favorite seasons to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The theme parks usually begin putting up autumn decorations around late August. The first evening of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is actually September 1 this year, so the Magic Kingdom will definitely be decked out in jack-o-lanterns and spook-tacular décor until the final Halloween Party on October 31.

If you have never been to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it is a Halloween special ticket event held on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party offers family-friendly trick-or-treating, character meet and greets, Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, and a special Happy HalloWishes fireworks display. Our family loves this after-hours special event! For more information on Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, visit the link above or check out the list of 2014 party dates on the Disney Parks Blog.

Please let me know if I can assist you with any other questions regarding your next visit to Walt Disney World.

    Have a magical day!
