Hi! Fairly new DVC member, heading home for a quiet resort / pool few days prior to a week in the parks with family. I'm looking for suggestions on quiet pools and resort pool hopping? Thank you!

Welcome back to planDisney, Kellie! It is so lovely to see you here as a new Disney Vacation Club Member asking a question about your next Disney vacation. I have been a Disney Vacation Club Member since 2012 and have found magic in my membership year after year.

Nothing beats a Walt Disney World vacation, and being able to build in some relaxation days spent lounging around the resort and pools makes it even more incredible. I’m sure you already know the swimming pools in the Disney Vacation Club Resorts are spectacular, but here are a few that really stand out in my opinion.

The swimming pools at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa make The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa an excellent option for Disney Vacation Club Members. Both Beach Pool and Courtyard Pool offer zero-depth entry and are perfect for soaking up some sun and relaxation. To make the visit even more luxurious, you might consider renting one of the Poolside Cabanas during your stay.

Another fabulous option would be a stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, where you can enjoy Uzima Springs Pool at Jambo House or Samawati Springs Pool at Kidani Village. I particularly love Uzima Springs Pool because you also have nearby access to the animal viewing areas. As a Guest at either Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas -Kidani Village or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House, you can access both swimming pool areas, giving your more options during your stay.

My final suggestion would be a stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort. You will not only find the pool areas beautiful and relaxing, but the entire resort feels like a European luxury holiday. If you decide to stay here, I highly recommend grabbing some sips and snacks from Bar Riva, the open-air pool bar nearby.

Complimentary Alternative Pool Use (pool hopping) is currently unavailable. To visit a Disney Vacation Club Resort or Disney Resort hotel, Guests must either have a confirmed resort reservation or confirmed advance dining reservation. You can read more about pool hopping, including important information on how it works and blockout dates on the Complimentary Alternative Pool Use page on the Disney Vacation Club website.

I hope you have a wonderful visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth and that you enjoy every minute of your Disney Vacation Club Membership! Please remember, you’ve got a friend in us here at planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help round up an answer to your vacation questions.
