Hey there, hi there, ho there, Shelley! Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always welcome as can be. I'll be your handy helper today as you prepare for your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Throughout the past year, face coverings and shields have become quite the handy mouseketools to keep us safe. During the current phase of reopening,
all Guests ages 2 and older must wear a face mask in the theme parks, Disney Springs, and public areas of resort hotels unless actively eating or drinking in a stationary, physically distant location. Face shields can be worn in addition to a face mask, but not in place of. At this time there are no exceptions to the policy, and if this would present a problem to any member of your party, the recommendation is to postpone your trip until face coverings are no longer required.
I'm sure you are excited about your spring getaway, and I don't blame you! May is a wonderful time of year to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort. The
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom, and there is so much to see, smell, and taste in World Showcase. Should you decide to go ahead with your visit, I recommend practicing with a variety of face coverings to find the perfect fit and comfort level. Check out
a few tips I recently shared with another Guest who asked about wearing a mask when the weather is especially warm. Some of
my fellow panelists also have great advice for mask-wearing in the theme parks.
Shelley, I hope everything works out and you have a magical vacation this spring. Be sure to review the
Know Before You Go information before your visit to learn about updates to health and safety protocols. My family and I have enjoyed several stays this year since the parks reopened, and we appreciate everything Walt Disney World is doing to keep Guests and Cast Members safe in the current environment. Thanks again for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon!
