    Is there an extra charge for Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon? And when will Typhoon Lagoon close for the 2009 season? Our trip is planned the second week of October.

    Hi Connie,

    You'll be pleased to know that the shark reef at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park is included in your entrance fee, it is a popular attraction so I recommend you do this early in the day. You are supplied with a mask and snorkel and a lifejacket if required but be warned the water is pretty chilly. It is worth it though to swim with all the sting rays, sharks etc. You can find lots of information including a video by clicking HERE.

    At this time we do not know when the water park is scheduled to close for refurbishment this year. Typhoon Lagoon underwent a huge rehab this year and closed on October 26th so if it's around that time again this year you'll be fine. To keep up to date on closures I suggest you subscribe to a newsletter such as the one at www.allears.net for the latest information!
