Hey there Scott, and welcome back to planDisney!
Looking back at
some of the things you've asked the Panelists in the past, you definitely seem to be a fan of enjoying the theme parks after dark and there's really nothing quite like experiencing
Disney After Hours as you ride into the night with far fewer waits! However, whenever you have the opportunity to take advantage of
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours (available to guests staying at select
Disney Resort Hotels), this is certainly something you'll want to make the most of!
- You'll be happy to hear that you don't necessarily have to be already within the theme park before it closes to day guests in order to enjoy Extended Evening Hours as the turnstiles will continue to remain open to those just arriving for those precious two hours. Cast Members will be there at the entrance to confirm whether you're eligible to enter and during our last stay it was as simple as scanning our MagicBands before allowing us to pass through.
- We've even hopped over after enjoying the fireworks at EPCOT before heading to Disney's Hollywood Studios to enjoy that last hour in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge feeling like one of the few adventurers on the planet Batuu, and this could be a great opportunity to experience the glow of TRON Lightcycle / Run in an emptier Magic Kingdom Park with perhaps a significantly shorter wait in the standby queue compared to what you'd experience earlier in the day.
It's important to know that policies are subject to change without prior notice and certain offerings at the theme parks may already be closed or unavailable during Extended Evening Hours. We usually like to make sure that we've
placed a Mobile Order in advance using the
My Disney Experience app just in case we have a hankering for any late-night
Disney Eats before heading out. We look forward to seeing more of your questions here at planDisney, Scott and wish you well on your nighttime wanderings at the theme parks!
Here's to all of your Disney adventures after dark!
