Hiya, David, and welcome to planDisney!
Extended Evening Hours and After Hours are both fantastic ways to add extra magic to your park experience, but they each bring unique and different offerings. Let's explore what each experience has to offer!
Disney After Hours is a separate ticketed event you can purchase to enjoy a few extra hours at either Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, or Hollywood Studios. Disney After Hours offers minimal wait times for attractions, complimentary popcorn, ice cream treats, and select beverages. Plus, even though these special ticketed events take place later in the evenings, Guests with tickets can start enjoying the park as early as 7:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased on the
Walt Disney World Website.
Now, let's chat about
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. This benefit is for Guests staying at Deluxe Disney Resorts, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a few extra hours of fun in the parks. While Extended Evening Hours does not require a special event ticket, it does require regular
theme park admission.
My family loves making the most of Extended Hours at EPCOT, especially because it gives us the extra opportunity to join the virtual queue at 6:00 PM for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! This is my kids' absolute favorite attraction across all the Disney Parks, and they always try to ride it as many times as possible during our visits.
Both After Hours and Extended Evening Hours typically feature smaller crowds and lower wait times, giving you more freedom to explore and enjoy the attractions!
David, nighttime is one of my favorite times to visit the parks, as it brings a whole different atmosphere and energy. I hope this information is helpful and that you find an option that works best for you. Please
visit us at planDisney with any other questions you might have -- we're always happy to help!
See ya real soon!
