Can you explain what happens if a LLMP or LLSP goes down either during my return window. I've heard different things. Do I have to choose to keep, do I automatically get to select another LLMP, or both? What happens of the ride closes for the day?

    Hi Christine!

I’m so happy to have you back here at planDisney! This is a great question! Let’s start with Lightning Lane Multi Pass

If have a Lightning Lane booked for an attraction and that attraction goes down, you’ll automatically have a “Select Experiences” Lightning Lane added to your account. Plus you’ll be able to book another available Lightning Lane immediately. That’s a unique case in which you could actually hold more than 3 Lightning Lanes at once!

Your “Select Experiences” Lightning Lane will be a completely separate Lightning Lane that you can use at any time throughout the day. It won’t have a specific return time. You’ll also be able to choose if you want to use it for the attraction that you originally booked the Lightning Lane for or a different attraction.

It’s good to note that you will not be able to choose just any attraction in the park, though. There will be a list of select attractions to choose from. Here’s how to find that list:

You’ll find your “Select Experiences” Lightning Lane under the “My Day” tab. To get there, click the 3 lines in the bottom corner of your My Disney Experience app, and scroll down to click “Today’s Plans.” Then click on your “Select Experiences” Lightning Lane to see where it can be used.

While it’s ultimately your choice on where you want to use your “Select Experiences” Lightning Lane, I personally like to save it for the attraction I was originally hoping to enjoy. Once I see that the attraction is up and running, I head back over there as soon as I get a chance.

If for some reason the attraction ends up being closed for the rest of the day, I’ll make a game-time decision to go enjoy a different attraction on the list.

Now let’s move on to Lightning Lane Single Pass. If you have a Lightning Lane for one of those attractions and it goes down, you’ll be able to use your Lightning Lane at any time once the ride opens back up.

If the ride is down for the rest of the day, you may notice that you’re automatically refunded. If not, I recommend chatting with a Guest Relations Cast Member to see what your options are. They’re always happy to help if they can! You can find them at the Guest Relations office near the entrance to the park or at one of the blue umbrellas located throughout the park.

I hope that helps! As always, let us know if you have any other questions!
