Hi Alexis,
In my opinion, food is one of the best parts of a Disney World vacation. There are so many amazing experiences for everyone whether they are picky, adventurous, young, or have a refined palette. When I am dining with little ones, I love to find experiences that offer something for the adults but also a lot of entertainment for the littles so you can enjoy the food while they are entertained.
At Magic Kingdom, the best location for little ones is
The Crystal Palace. You get to meet Winnie the Pooh and his pals and there is a buffet with options for everyone. Your 2-year-old will also get to eat off of the buffet for free. If you are looking for a dining location that has some more adventurous options, I love heading over to
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The food there is one of my favorite meals at Disney World and they have great options to cater to little ones as well. I never go there without ordering the Jungle Greens Salad and Mess Hall Fried Rice!
At EPCOT, the options and cuisines are endless.
The Garden Grill Restaurant is an amazing character meal featuring classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse. The restaurant rotates through the Living With the Land ride so the view is always changing and the characters come straight to you, often more than once since the restaurant is relatively small. This meal is served family style so your 2-year-old will also be able to eat for free here without stealing from your plate. For a quick meal or snack, I like to stop by
La Cantina de San Angel and grab some tacos. During lunch, you can eat either inside or outside at this quick service location. The indoor area is often a nice cool quiet area for your kids to relax.
When I am at Hollywood Studios, I like to book a reservation at
Rodeo Roundup BBQ. The food here is the best in Hollywood Studios and you get to pretend you are at the size of a toy! The barbecue and desserts are all you can eat and everything is delicious. Make sure to ask them to bring you the salmon and pick more than one dessert to try!
Animal Kingdom has a lot of great dining options but I love to start my day there with a breakfast reservation at
Tusker House. Your kids will get to take pictures with Goofy and some other lovable Disney characters in their safari gear. The food is buffet style with tons of delicious options like pastries, Mickey waffles, bacon, and some African-inspired cuisine. I also love grabbing a spot later in the day for snacks and a bit of a rest at
Nomad Lounge. The small plates are delicious and they have the best churros in Disney World. They also have a lot of great cocktails for the adults in your group to enjoy while the little ones wave to some of their
favorite Disney friends who pass by on boats. Happy Planning
