We are going to experience our very first WDW Vacation soon. We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Lodge and I would like to run to the local Wal-mart to get breakfast food for our stay. We are flying so what would be the best way for me to get there?

Hi, John!  There is a WalMart just a short taxi ride away from the Downtown Disney resort area, and I think that's going to be your best bet.  There is a Lynx bus (the Orlando public transit bus system) that will get you there, but it's kind of a lengthy ordeal to get there.

Alternatively, if you think you might get a full day's worth, you can rent a car and use that.  It's a bit less convenient than a taxi.

One other thing - have you looked into a service like Garden Grocer?  They will make a delivery of any grocery items you need right to you at you resort.  The cost might work out a bit cheaper if you use this delivery service as opposed to a taxi.

You'll also have access to some groceries right there at Wilderness Lodge - not a wide selection, but enough to get you through a few days.  That might even be your best option if you just need a few things.

    Have a great vacation!
