Elizabeth, welcome aboard!
Planning is half the fun, and if you're planning for the Magic's Mediterranean cruise, you really have something to look forward to! How exciting!
Each stateroom has two wave phones which are similar to cell phones, and work throughout the ship. Using these is a great way to keep in touch with someone else from your stateroom, a friend in another stateroom, or for the counselors at the Youth Clubs to reach you. Be sure to keep your Wave Phone with you if you take your kids to the clubs, as they will call or text if your child needs you.
You didn't mention the age of your children, but you'll find that Disney Cruise Line has Youth Clubs for all ages. The
Youth Clubs, with only one exception, are included in the cost of your cruise, and you can read more about them on Disney Cruise Line's website. If your child is under three, you can make advanced reservations for
Flounder's Reef Nursery on the Magic, for an hourly fee. All of the Clubs are magical places where activities are planned throughout the day and night, characters stop in to visit with the children, and parents can trust the kids are having a blast while you sneak off for some adults-only time. There is no in-room babysitting, as the different Youth Clubs are where the kids will have the most fun.
My kids don't ever want to leave the clubs. Sometimes I think they forget they have parents with them onboard, as they're having so much fun with new friends and activities in the clubs!
Have a wonderful trip to the Mediterranean on the Magic, Elizabeth, and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan!
