So excited!!! We are on our way to WDW in 11 days. Could you please tell me the cost of Horseback riding at Fort Wilderness. Also, can my 5 year old come along on the Horseback riding excursion? Thank you. See you real Soon!!

    Hi!

My daughter is also a huge horse girl, and I think this activity needs to be high on our next to-do list at Disney World!

The requirements for riding at Fort Wilderness are that riders must be a minimum of 9 years old and 48" tall (One additional requirement: Riders must be under 250 lbs). The rides are offered multiple times every day of the year. The 45-min ride is currently priced at approx. $46 per person regardless of age (subject to change). Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.

For younger kids, pony rides are also offered on a first come, first serve basis for riders aged 2 to 8. For these rides, an adult from your traveling party leads the pony and child in a small area. There is an 80 pound weight limit as well.

Pony rides are offered from 10 am to 5 pm daily. Current costs are $5 per ride, but are subject to change.

Wagon and carriage rides are also available at Ft. Wilderness and can be reserved via the phone number above.

Have a great trip! And enjoy the Fort!
