Hello, Katie!
The Disney Water Parks provide hours of splashtastic fun for the entire family. Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is my personal favorite for kids of all ages for a couple of reasons. Summit Plummet - an adventure-lovers favorite - is my top attraction at all of Walt Disney World. This water park also offers a large assortment of slides for every thrill level to enjoy.
Less adventurous children can enjoy
Tike's Peak and the
Ski Patrol Training Camp at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Both of these areas offer slides and child-friendly spaces to splash and play. Tike's Peak is geared more toward smaller children or those that do not yet know how to swim well. It has some water-spray components and small slides to entertain the younger set. The Ski Patrol Training Camp is really great for older kids or tweens, and it offers an iceburg-themed obstacle course and more adventurous (yet still mild) water slides.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is also really fun for children, but I personally do not think that it offers as much variety as Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park when it comes to child-centric attractions.
Ketchakiddee Creek provides young guests the opportunity to ride down several scaled-down slides and splash around animal-shaped fountains. In my opinion, the biggest all-ages appeal of this water park is Shark Reef. Guests can snorkel with a colorful assortment of fish, stingrays and sharks at no additional cost.
I'm sure that you and your family will enjoy a fin-tastic time at Walt Disney World, Katie! If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. Happy planning!
