Disney's Blizzard Beach

    We are excited to visit Blizzard Beach next month on our hotel check-in day. In the past we’ve been able to request delicious halal meals at the other WDW parks - is that something we can request at Blizzard Beach?

    Hi Neda, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! Visiting Blizzard Beach on check-in day is the practically perfect way to kick off your magical vacation. It’s such a great perk for Disney resort hotel guests!

    Now, let’s chat about your options for halal meals. As you may know, most table service restaurants can prepare a halal meal without advance notice, but it’s recommended that you note your dietary request on your dining reservation by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

    There are also eateries in all four theme parks that can easily accommodate halal meal requests without advance notice, as well as the table-service and quick-service locations at Disney Resort hotels (all subject to availability). In the theme parks, the eateries currently include the following locations:

    Animal Kingdom: Satu’li Canteen
    Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary and Sci-Fi Dine-In
    EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons
    Magic Kingdom: Tony’s Town Square

    However, none of Blizzard Beach’s quick-service locations are on the list (and there aren’t any table-service restaurants in the water park). I chatted with a Cast Member who recommended emailing Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com, once you’re within 14 days of your visit, to see if a halal meal can be prepared at one of Blizzard Beach’s quick-service locations. Since Disney Resort hotels can typically prepare halal meals without advance notice, another option would be to order food at your resort hotel and bring it with you to Blizzard Beach.

    When you’re at the water park, if you’re interested in any of the snacks, plant-based meals, or seafood meals, I’d encourage you to talk to a Cast Member. They’re always happy to assist with ingredient information.

    August is going to be an extra fun time to visit Blizzard Beach with all of the bonus Cool KID SUMMER experiences going on, including games, a scavenger hunt, and a dance party in the village. You might even be able to spot Goofy ready for the beach near Sonny’s Sleds! You’ll also find Cool KID SUMMER activities in all four theme parks for both little ones and kids at heart. I’m most excited for the crafts in Hollywood Studios’ Animation Courtyard!
