Excited about our upcoming Oct. trip. Can dining credits be used at the Food and Wine Festival?

Hi, Rosemary! Thank you for sending in your question to us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

October is a fabulous month to visit Walt Disney World! There are several special events happening at that time of year, including the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom. The 2013 Food & Wine Festival will be held from September 27 to November 11.

I have good news! You can use your Disney Dining Plan Snack credits to sample the incredible variety of food and (non-alcoholic) beverage offerings at the nearly 30 International Marketplaces located around World Showcase in Epcot. This is really a great value and excellent use of your Snack credits because many of the small plates can range well over $4.00 each. During the 2012 Food & Wine Festival, for example, a Dining Plan Snack credit could be used to purchase the Lobster and Seafood Fisherman's Pie ($6.00) at the Ireland kiosk, the "Le Cellier" Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter Sauce ($6.50) at the Canada kiosk and the Linda Bean's Perfect Maine Lobster Roll ($7.50) at the Hops & Barley kiosk.

Wishing you an exciting culinary adventure around World Showcase, Rosemary! Please write back with any other questions as you continue planning your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
