Excited for trip. I will need to bring my partner into the parks in his own transport chair. However, a wheelchair rented at the park is easier to use during our park time. May I leave the transport chair at wheelchair rental or other secure location?

    Hi there, Mary!

It is wonderful to hear you are excited about your upcoming trip. We are thrilled to hear from you! I hope you are having a magical time planning your vacation as it looks like you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort before you know it.

I double-checked on this for you with a helpful Cast Member and unfortunately, I was told there is not a definitive answer for your question. They told me it would be a case-by-case scenario and would ultimately be at the discretion of each theme park location on whether or not they would be able to store the transport chair.

As an alternative for you, it may be better to rent a wheelchair from the Disney Featured Provider or another third-party company for the length of your stay. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, the Disney Featured Provider will work with the Resort Hotel Cast Members to deliver and pick up the wheelchair for you. This way, your partner will also have it to use around the resort hotel and for getting to and from the parks. Disney transportation is wonderful about accommodating mobility devices. You will even find Accessible Minnie Vans to travel in Disney style!

I apologize that I wasn't able to get a clear answer for you, Mary. If you have further questions, we would be happy to help, or you can also call Disability Services. I wish you and your partner an incredible vacation and hope to hear from you again soon.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
