Do you need a park reservation if you are looking to enter later in the day? Maybe after 2pm or after 5pm?

    Welcome to planDisney, Todd!

Hooray for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It sounds like you are well on your way planning a practically perfect visit. Thank you for stopping by with your question.

As of early January, theme park reservations are only required for those with non-dated tickets and Annual Passholders. If you have a non-dated ticket, such as:

    • Student group tickets
    • Sport and Convention tickets
    • Florida Resident Disney Thrills Ticket
    • Disney Military Salute Ticket
    • Other non-dated ticket options
Then you will still need to have a theme park reservation, even to enter at a later time. Luckily, you are able to make and modify theme park reservations easily from the My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you have a ticket with the Park Hopper option, you are able to visit another park at any time of day, after you have visited your first park (with a theme park reservation.)

If you are an Annual Passholder, you are able to visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on "good-to-go" days, or after 2:00 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom Park.)

Please be aware that theme park reservations are limited and availability can change quickly, so I suggest checking for availability and making your reservations as soon as possible

I hope this information helps you in planning your upcoming visit, Todd. If there is anything else we are able to assist you with, please let us know.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
