Excited 1st time cruisers! Just booked fantasy for Western Caribbean ,category 09B stateroom room 2022, deluxe ocean view, wondering if this is a good choice or should we get higher up. We do have ppl who have motion sickness issues traveling with 7 ppl

Welcome aboard, Heather! Congratulations on booking your very first Disney cruise! The Disney Fantasy offers the newest technology and some really exciting activities and events for Disney guests. I'm excited for you to experience it all!

Your stateroom is on a lower deck toward the Forward part of the ship. This is a wonderful spot and your stateroom is a nice one. However, since you mentioned that some of the guests in your party suffer from motion sickness, you might consider a stateroom that is more in the Midship area, if not even Midship on a Mid-level deck. The more centered in the ship a guest is, the less they seem to be bothered with any motion of the ship. That being said, if you encounter a particularly rocky day at sea, you will feel the motion no matter where you are. Hopefully you'll have a smooth sailing. But, for those slight movements of the ship, your friends may be more comfortable and the movement much less noticeable the more Midship your stateroom.

They can chat with their doctors before setting sail to see what might be best for them, but there are some great motion sickness preventions available over the counter, including patches and bands. I hope that helps as you gear up for your first cruise with Disney, Heather! Please let me know if I can help with anything else as you continue to plan!
