Hi! I am so excited to be surprising my children with their first WDW visit at the end of this month! If I link my Disney Visa card to my MagicBand, can I get the 10% merchandise discount for souvenirs? Can I still pay off the balance with gift cards?

    Hi Teresa,

What a wonderful surprise for your children! You must be excited to visit with your children!

The MagicBand has made my life so much easier at Walt Disney World Resort! I no longer have to look for my room key as it is on my wrist. I also love the convenience of having my tickets and charging abilitity on my wrist.

You can absolutely link your Disney Visa card to your MagicBand. However, you will need your card with you to receive the discount as the system is not that sophisticated. In addition, you can pay your balance off with gift cards. You just need to head to the front desk of your resort prior to your credit card being charged. Credit cards are charged at different limits based on your resort. You can find that amount when you check in.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
