Welcome, Marcie!
My family and I love the special holiday parties at Magic Kingdom. It's a tough call for my favorite between
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Both are fabulous. But, I probably lean toward the Halloween party right now since I've experienced that more often in the past few years. You are certainly in for one spook-tacular time!
Since guests need separate party tickets to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, only that party ticket will be scanned (from your
MagicBand) as you enter for the party. So, since you have regular park tickets, you may certainly choose to use one of those for the earlier part of the day by starting your day at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park! If you plan your day out right, you'll get to experience so much at Animal Kingdom before you leave to make your way over to
Magic Kingdom for the Halloween party.
Another option, if you want to save that park ticket for another day of your visit, is to spend the morning and afternoon of your Halloween party day just enjoying the pool at your
Disney Resort, or even heading over to
Disney Springs for a day of fun shopping and entertainment. My family and I usually do this so that we can save our park tickets for days when we can use them to the fullest, and then enjoy the non-ticketed fun of the Walt Disney World Resort for the morning of our holiday party. Though the party begins at 7:00 p.m., I find that arriving at 4:00 p.m. or after the ticket station for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is already set up and ready to allow us into the park with our party ticket, so we squeeze in a bit of extra fun at Magic Kingdom before the party even starts, just with our party ticket.
I hope that helps you plan your day, Marcie! Stop by again with more questions as you count down to the big vacation!
