Hey there, hi there, Amy! Welcome!
Well, this sounds like the perfect holiday season vacation to me. I love combining a
Disney Cruise Line adventure on the high seas with a couple of days at
Walt Disney World. It's definitely the best of two worlds.
I am going to assume you are sailing from
Port Canaveral, which is about an hour's drive from the Walt Disney World resort area. Some of this may depend on the transportation that you use from the Port back to Disney World, but I'll give you an overview. To start with, you have the option to take your luggage off the ship yourself, and if you go with the express walk-off option, you can usually be off the ship between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. There won't be anyone to assist with bags getting off of the ship, but it is the fastest way to disembark.
If you opt for Disney Cruise Line to handle your luggage, they usually begin calling groups to disembark at about 8:00 AM. If you've arranged your own transportation, I'd say you could realistically be at
Disney's Animal Kingdom by 9:30 AM. If you are using Disney Cruise Line ground transfers, however, you'll be taken directly to your
Walt Disney World resort. Those motorcoaches generally begin boarding at about 8:00 AM and begin leaving for Walt Disney World around 8:30 AM. I wouldn't make plans at Disney's Animal Kingdom before 10:30 or 11:00.
I hope you have an absolutely amazing
Land and Sea vacation, Amy!
