    I am very excited about the Mermaid option for Pirates League! But I have some questions....do you get a certificate with a mermaid name? And the hair clip and necklace are "colour changing'? What does this mean? Will there be more pictures to see? Th

    Hi Jenn!  The Pirates League is a great addition to the interactive experiences at Magic Kingdom park in Walt Disney World.  The Mermaid Transformation, which was a similar experience geared towards little girls, was available for a short time last year when WDW was promoting Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides.  However, parents and kids alike loved it, and Disney has decided to bring The Mermaid Transformation experience back, and for good!    Beginning March 19th, your little girl will be able to channel her inner Ariel at Magic Kingdom park, located in the same area as Pirates League.  As for certificates, they do not issue a certificate, nor does she get a particular mermaid name.  The clip and that necklace are color changing, in that they contain a small LED light with battery inside which changes the color of the flower.  I am linking the Disney Parks Blog page which mentions all about the makeover, as well as some images of what the finished product will look like.
