Welcome back to planDisney, Donna! I'm so glad you have another trip on the books. Let me be the first to say, "Welcome home!" I stayed at
Disney's Old Key West Resort last year and loved my room's island vibe and Florida charm. Like your family, I need my morning java to make it through a magical day at
Walt Disney World Resort, so let's see what we can percolate about the type of coffee maker you can expect for your stay.
In researching your question, I felt a bit like the Great Mouse Detective! Since Disney is constantly making upgrades and improvements, it's a little tricky to make a definitive statement about the specific amenities at each resort. To add to the mystery, coffee makers can vary depending on the room type within the same resort. My brain has been brewing over this one!
My panelist pal Susan said it's been her experience at this resort that most rooms now have Cuisinart 12-cup drip coffee makers. I also chatted with a caffeine-loving Cast Member who added that the specific type of coffee maker can vary by room, especially if a resort is switching from one type or brand to another. For example, he said some
Deluxe Studios might still have single-serve coffee makers since these changes are often completed in waves.
Many
Disney Resort Hotels will provide an alternate type of coffee maker if you ask. There's no guarantee, but some resorts even have the K-Cup machines I prefer. Most resorts also provide Joffrey's regular and decaffeinated coffee, sweetener, and creamer for your cuppa joe.
Like Walt Disney said, "Progress is impossible without change," so maybe your coffee station will be a pixie-dust surprise when you arrive!
Donna, your visit will be as cool as an ocean breeze, and I hope your family makes many magical memories...and some delicious coffee! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
