Hey, Jana! Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you for visiting us with another of your questions, this time about your adventure to
Disneyland Paris! With Disneyland Paris as my local Disney Park, I have visited more times than I can count. It is one of my favourite places on earth, and I cannot wait for you to experience it too!
Disneyland Paris is a great destination for adventurous thrill seekers, and you guys sound like my kind of people! The great thing about Paris is the twist on some Disney classics, which gives them another level of thrill. Buckle up for my top 3 picks for you and your family.
Starting with
Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. This is nothing like what you may be used to at the US parks. Here, you will be launched into a high-speed adventure through space, with multiple inversions and classic Star Wars music. Funny story, on my most recent visit, there was a guy from the US in the train in front of me, and I heard him comment to his friend that it was strange there were over the shoulder harnesses, unlike in the US. I had to let him know that he would be glad of those over the shoulder restraints once he was on the ride!
Next on my list has to be
Big Thunder Mountain. No, it is not going to go upside down, but it is a very different experience. This version of the mountain is actually in the middle of the Rivers of the Far West, so to get there, you will hurtle through underwater caves, and the speed really does take your breath away! Finally, I highly recommend
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which again has a unique twist. This version has a chilling, haunted storyline, which I do not want to spoil, but it definitely adds a much spookier feel to the classic attraction.
Of course, with so many attractions across both Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, I cannot leave it there without a few special mentions. These go to Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril for more rollercoaster inversions, and Crush’s Coaster for a unique spinning family coaster!
