Bonjour!
Welcome to planDisney, Alice! Your summer adventure to
Disneyland Paris will be here before you know it, and what a brilliant time to visit! July is a great month to explore the beautiful Disneyland Park and the newly reimagined Disney Adventure World, which now features the brand new
World of Frozen!
Now, when it comes to using your Chase Disney credit card at Disneyland Paris, the answer depends on exactly which card you have. At the time of writing, the Disney Visa Card and Disney Premier Visa Card both charge a foreign transaction fee of 3% of each transaction in U.S. dollars. However, the newer Disney Inspire Visa Card does not have foreign transaction fees. So if you have the Disney Inspire Visa Card, you should not incur foreign transaction fees, but I’d still recommend checking your cardholder agreement before you travel, just to be safe.
Your card will be widely accepted as
VISA is a recognised method of payment, but I do recommend paying in euros if the chip and pin machine gives you a choice between euros and U.S. dollars, as this does work out better for you!
I hope this helps with your planning, Alice! Have the BEST time visiting Disneyland Paris this summer. If you have any other vacation planning questions, please
reach out to me. I’d love to help!
See you on Main Street, Paris!
Matt
