We are so excited to embark on our cruise! Do we know when pirate night is for the Disney fantasy that sets sail on 4/20? Would also like to know if we need to make a reservation for the Aladdin show and for pelican plunge at castway cay

    Welcome Aboard, Michaela!

Ok, I can feel the energy in your question and now I am also so excited for your cruise! You are going to be exploring the gorgeous Western Caribbean Ports of Call in no time. With the clock a-tickin' (sorry, Captain Hook!) let's clear up your plans with enough time for shopping and packing.

I did a little digging, and you are about to experience a very special sailing! Did you know that Monday, April 22, 2024, is Earth Day? I don't know of any specific celebratory activities, but I know I would personally love to reflect on the beauty of our planet while sailing one of her stunning blue oceans. That is going to be special.

The itinerary could always change, so definitely keep an eye on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once onboard. For now, you are scheduled to enjoy a formal evening on Day 2, Pirate Night (Argh!) on Day 4, and a semi-formal night on Day 6.

Quite possibly the thing I love most about Disney Cruise Line is that I rarely need to schedule my entertainment. I form a very rough outline of my day, and then I am off to explore. This is also true with both the Broadway-Caliber entertainment in the Walt Disney Theater, like Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular, and Pelican Plunge on Disney Castaway Cay. No reservations are required!

I do want to recommend that you head to the Walt Disney Theater early. Then you will have time to purchase some popcorn, grab the perfect beverage, and secure excellent seats in what is likely to be a full house. I recently saw Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular for the first time and I'm pretty sure I held my breath for the entire thing. That's not easy to do while dancing in your seat! I was just enthralled. I think you are going to love it!

Quick final tip: practice plugging your nose before your journey down Pelican Plunge. It offers two of my very favorite water slides ever, but you enter the water with some force! Don't say I didn't warn ya!

I hope that answers your questions, Michaela! Come on back and visit if you think of anything else before your incredible Disney Cruise Line vacation. We are here for you!

    Adventure is out there,
