Welcome aboard, Debbie!
Hooray for your
Disney Cruise Line vacation next month! With the rain pouring down outside my window here in Ohio right now, I'm dreaming of our next Disney Cruise vacation too. I just wish it were next month like yours!
When you
arrive at the port to begin your adventure, you'll send any checked luggage ahead to your
stateroom with the porters, then go through security just like at the airport. If your family has carry-on bags that you'll need to keep with you, bring those along through security. They'll simply need to fit on the x-ray machine just like at the airport, so if your bag is a standard carry-on size (22" x 14" x 9") or smaller, it's no problem at all. However, keep in mind that you'll be pulling that around the ship with you until you're able to access your staterooms which may not be until 1:30 that afternoon, so the smaller the bag, the easier it will be to keep with you.
The rest of your luggage will magically make its way to your stateroom later in the day, so in the meantime, get out and explore the ship, have a relaxing
lunch and get ready for the big
Sail Away Celebration! Before you know it, you'll be waving goodbye to land as you set sail for what is sure to be an exciting adventure.
Have fun planning and making that
packing list, Debbie. In the meantime, be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App which you can start using as a countdown to your sail date. Then, once at port, it'll give you access to all the event schedules, activities, menus, maps, and more! Please stop back with more questions over this next month before you set sail. We're happy to help!
