So EXCITED - only 13 days to go 'til Disney! I bought a camera for the trip, but I don't want it to get ruined on a water ride (Kali River Rapids/Splash Mtn). Are there lockers near the water rides or do you have a suggestion to protect my camera?

    Hi Stephanie,

How exciting your trip is so close, I hope this makes it to you before you leave!

I totally understand about trying to keep your camera dry we always seem to get soaked at Disney either by the rain or on rides! There are lockers available at all the parks but they're all right at the front of the park so not really a good option to store your camera in as you'll want to take photos through out the day. I do have a suggestion though and it involves big zip lock bags. I take several with me on every trip to keep in my back pack, when we go on a water ride I simply store my camera inside the zip lock inside my back pack, I sometimes also wrap it up in my poncho, a Disney necessity, for extra protection.

A few other tips are on Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom place your back pack/camera in the waterproof bag storage area in the centre of the ride and on Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom keep your bag off of the floor as this is very wet. I manage to hook the straps over my knees so the bag sits on my feet to stop the bottom getting wet.

Hope this helps and have a great trip,

    Jo
