We are excited to be coming to Disney in February with our 7 year old, and our last trip I remember having some issues finding the best spot to watch the nightly fireworks show. Any recommendations? Love the Mom's panel!

    Hi Lynde!

Congratulations on planning your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.  February is a great time to visit the theme parks, with cooler weather and lighter crowds, you and your family will be able to enjoy the newest attractions such as Under The Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid, Be Our Guest restaurant, Gaston's Tavern in Magic Kingdom and the re-imagined Test Track at Epcot, to name a few.

Seeing as there are two premiere fireworks shows, Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, occurring nightly at Magic Kingdom, and Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, also nightly at Epcot.  When choosing your viewing spot, factor in crowds and the mass exodus that happens post any fireworks show.  Recently, I've found that standing on the bridge from the hub into Liberty Square is a great place to see Celebrate the Magic and Wishes.  Plus, you remain out of the way as crowds exit, and make your way leisurely out of the park.  Another place is right across the water by The Plaza Restaurant.  It's a great view of Cinderella Castle, and puts you close enough to the exits.

As for Illuminations, I would suggest the small bridge right outside of the Italy Pavilion in World Showcase.  The views are spectacular here, and, if you arrive early, you can snag a seat on one of the steps.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
