We are excited to celebrate the adoption of our son and daughter with a surprise trip to the Disneyland resort. We’ll be staying on property and visiting both parks. Any suggestions to make the trip as magical as possible? Are private photo shoots a thing?

    Oh my goodness, Robert!

I am beyond excited for your family! Adding two new pairs of EARs to your crew of Mouseketeers is such a joyous occasion, and there’s no better place to celebrate such a happy moment in your lives than at The Happiest Place on Earth. As soon as you arrive, head over to a Guest Relations location in either theme park to grab complimentary celebration buttons for the whole family to wear proudly. The Cast Members there can even customize your buttons by writing “adoption” in the center. You might just get some extra pixie dust sent your way when other Guests and Cast Members notice your buttons.

Of course, you’ll also want to take as many celebratory pictures as possible to commemorate your special day, so Disney PhotoPass+ One Day would be a good investment. It allows you to download all of your Disney PhotoPass photos from the day, and would be your best option since Capture Your Moment photo sessions are no longer available at the Disneyland Resort. To get the most use from it, open up your Disneyland mobile app and go to the interactive map feature. Click on the drop-down menu at the top of the page and select “PhotoPass” from the options to see nearby Disney PhotoPass locations you can all pose together at. You can even purchase personalized photo products using your favorite pictures when you return home from your trip.

Robert, you will definitely want a memento to remember this trip by, so stop by Plaza Point on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park to purchase a personalized ornament with “Adoption Celebration 2022” or something along those lines written on it. Each year when you take it out of the box, you can happily reflect on this joyous, special occasion.

Have a wonderful time celebrating with your family, Robert. Please stop by planDisney again if we can help answer any other questions that pop up along the way.

    See ya real soon,

    Alyssa
