Hi, So Excited! I will be bringing my kids ages 8 and 5 for their very 1st surprise trip to WDW Art of Animation resort FEB 9th- FEB 16th 2013. How are the crowds in the park for this week? Also do you think we will be able to use the Hotel pools at all?

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Jodi!  How exciting that you're surprising your children with their first Walt Disney World Vacation in February!  Your children are going to love the immersive storybook theming at Disney's Art of Animation Resort!  I cannot wait to stay in a Little Mermaid Standard Room myself in just a few short weeks!  The unofficial website allears.net features a Historic Attendance Levels Chart that I like to visit when planning trips to Walt Disney World. According to the Historic Attendance Levels Chart, early February just prior to Presidents' Week is considered "lowest attendance" and Presidents' week is categorized as "highest attendance." Although it is impossible to predict crowd levels with 100% certainty, I personally believe you should enjoy relatively low crowds the beginning of your trip with crowd levels increasing toward the end of your vacation. The pools at the Walt Disney World Resorts are heated year round so I would recommend packing your swimsuits in case the weather conditions are favorable for swimming. I hope this information helps! If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to write me back. I would love to assist you in planning a Magical first Walt Disney World vacation, Jodi!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
