    Are there any exceptions to using Disney gift cards in Disney world? Are the restaurants and shops in Disney Springs included? (TREX, Planet Hollywood, etc.) Thank you in advance!

    Hi Elizabeth,

    Disney Gift Cards are a great way to pay for dining, tickets and souvenirs at the Walt Disney World Resort. Currently, they are available for use at all restaurants, shops and resorts where credit cards are taken at Walt Disney World theme parks and properties.

    You should be fine using your gift card in Disney Springs including the restaurants you mentioned above.

    When we have gift cards, we use them to pay for our bill at our Walt Disney Resort. We add room charging privileges in our My Disney Experience which is linked to our MagicBands. We then pay our bill at the resort with our gift cards prior to checking out. This way we do not need to carry the cards with us.
